The Medical Student Pride Alliance was founded by a small group of students with a passion for community and a fierce commitment to improving LGBTQ+ healthcare.
We are building a diverse team of self-motivated, hard-working medical students who share a passion for our mission. As a group composed of busy physicians-in-training scattered across multiple institutions, we operate within a culture of respect, integrity, and accountability. Building a national organization is challenging and requires flexibility and determination. In return, our teammates gain unique leadership experience and a sense of community that few academic medical centers are able to offer on their own.
MSPA is divided into 3 specialized Committees that collectively work towards the organization’s goals. To apply, email your CV and a statement of interest for one or more(!) committees to [email protected]
Our team is hard at work laying the foundation for a sustainable organization that can efficiently carry out its mission. From managing organization-wide meetings to crafting operational protocols to fostering relationships with donors, we are looking for self-driven applicants with methodical, systems-oriented minds. In optimizing MSPA’s governance and workflow, members of the Operations Committee will have the opportunity to present on and publish about our organizational structure, accomplishments, and effect on the medical training environment.

Our team is looking for outgoing applicants enthusiastic about facilitating these connections and improving our outward-facing appearance. In doing so, members of the Outreach Committee will have the opportunity to interface with “big names” in LGBTQ+ health and advocacy, represent MSPA at national and regional meetings, and author opinion pieces about topics of interest to LGBTQ+ medical students nationwide.
